MAX OUT WITH MERGE MAXX

1st June 2020

The Kuhn Merge Maxx 950 is a 9.5m wide belt-merging silage rake which has been specially developed for contractors and large-scale farm producers seeking to achieve maximum productivity in high quality harvesting of grass and other forage crops.

At the heart of the machine are  two adjustable, variable width and bi-directional merger belts to swath a maximum of 9.5m, guaranteeing high output with very high quality forage harvesting.

Nothing is more effective than having homogenous, regular windrows. The unique design of the pick-up and windguard-with-roller produce regular forage pick-up and transfer to the conveyor belt – prerequisites for perfect windrow formation. A regular, homogenous windrow prevents jolting during harvesting and can increase working speeds by up to 2 or 3 km/h.

As an increasing number of UK farmers recognise the benefits of protein-rich alfalfa (Lucerne) as a forage crop which can be harvested three times a year, the MM950 is the ideal machine. Its gentle pick-up means that leaves remain on their stems, thus preserving protein content and nutritional value in the forage. The same applies for harvesting cover crops at the end of autumn: forage is lifted, uncontaminated by wet, sticky soil.

With the MM 950, you no longer have to choose between a central or side-delivery rake. This rake is capable of adapting to all types of usage, forage volumes and harvesting methods thanks to its many delivery options:

• Central delivery with variable width,

• Side delivery with a view to grouping different working widths together,

• Central and side delivery simultaneously for very high forage volumes and to suit harvesting methods.

The Merge Max 950 provides a practical solution for contractors who offer a variety of services to different customers as the configuration of the machine can be modified easily with the hydraulic control valves. The days of belt-fitting are over and work output is improved.
